Edna Woodard collaborated on a little handout of inspirations for our chapter. A decade later the inspirations are being published again, this time in a new format, using a technology that has the potential for vastly improving our communication within the chapter and between chapters- one each month during the program year 2010-2011. Here's hoping the members of our chapter, and our sisters across Iota Land will be inspired to act.
Love in Action
We share together in this communion of
love, faith, and hope made possible by God

"The Backbone of Love"
As we enter the 9th month (of this new decade)
bring something you have made or bought
to someone in the chapter who means a lot to you,
but to whom you rarely express your love.
a cake, a pie, a card, a small token of remembrance
that has your love as a wrapping.
In my reading this poem, I can see in my minds eye the faces of the lovely ladies who are not currently attending our chapter meetings. Some are not active due to long term illnesses, and one has moved up higher to the OMEGA Chapter.
